Electrical Test & Tag

Electrical Test & Tag is the process of inspecting and testing electrical equipment to ensure it is safe for use and complies with workplace safety regulations.

What is included in Test & Tag?

1. Visual Inspection
   • Check plugs, cords, sockets, and equipment for damage.
   • Look for exposed wires, cracks, burns, or loose connections.
2. Electrical Testing
   • Earth continuity test
   • Insulation resistance test
   • Polarity test
   • Leakage current test (where applicable)
3. Tagging
   • A tag is attached to the equipment showing:
     • Test date
     • Next test due date
     • Technician name or ID
     • Pass/Fail status
